The Rookery Cottage is a wonderful getaway, and we can’t wait to welcome you into our charming cottage. Based in Ashford in the Water, and set in the heart of the Peak District come and immerse yourself in the countryside.

    - Selection of general interest books and maps about the area available for guests to browse

    - A separate dining room, to seat 8. Table linen provided. John Lewis cutlery and crockery

    - The newly refurbished kitchen, with a fully integrated electric oven and hob, microwave, Integrated fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, dishwasher and clothes washing machine

    - A Fridge/freezer is available for guests to use in the conservatory

    - A small conservatory and downstairs WC

    - Two twin bedrooms, which share a bathroom (bath and shower)

Outside

  • Outside, there is a lovely large patio to sit and enjoy the views of the mature gardens, which run from the cottage down to the water’s edge and is fenced off for the safety of younger visitors. There is a further large area of pasture beyond and friendly chickens which roam the grounds.

  • Ashford in the Water is a pretty and popular Derbyshire village, located in the heart of the Peak District National Park. Sitting on the banks of the River Wye, three bridges cross this free flowing river making it an idyllic waterside setting. The village pub is welcoming and popular among locals, while you will find almost everything you need for your stay in the village shop. Walkers will enjoy setting out on the Monsal Trail, while the riverside cricket ground offers a relaxing spot to enjoy the game.
